Too busy for breakfast? That’s not an excuse. There’s nothing simpler than making a nutritious and tasty fruit smoothie—one that contains the essential vitamins, minerals, and protein you need to start the day right!

Here’s 5 healthy smoothie recipes by Sara Lynn Cauchon, which you can whip up for breakfast in seconds. The television host shares her smoothie recipes on her YouTube channel, The Domestic Geek, which has garnered more than 1,088,176 subscribers.

These smoothies are not only healthy and delicious, but also colorful! She invented smoothies of five different flavors and colors for each day of the week. Regardless of which day of the week, you can get off the a great start with any of these delicious smoothies.

Before you start making your smoothie, here’s a few tips from Sara Lynn:

Firstly, use frozen fruits. You don’t want to be watering down your smoothies with a whole bunch of ice. Freeze your fruits in a single layer on a baking sheet. This prevents the fruit from clumping and sticking together.

Secondly, pre-package your smoothie ingredients and leave them in the freezer. By the next morning, all you have to do is put these ingredients into your blender, together with milk, yogurt or juice.

Lastly: When it’s smoothie making time, pour the milk or juice into the blender first, before blending. This will help your blender run a little more smoothly.

1. Monday yellow smoothie

Ingredients:

1 banana (chopped),

½ cup frozen mango,

½ cup frozen pineapple (diced),

½ cup Greek yogurt,

½ cup pineapple juice (alternatively, you can use orange juice or almond milk),

1 tsp grated ginger.


2. Tuesday orange smoothie

Ingredients:

Blend 1 small orange (peeled and frozen),

½ peach (peeled and diced),

¼ cup orange juice,

½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt,

1 grated carrot.


3. Wednesday red smoothie

Ingredients:

Blend ½ cup frozen watermelon,

½ cup frozen strawberries,

½ cup frozen raspberries,

½ cup Greek yogurt,

¼ cup almond milk.


4. Thursday purple smoothie

Ingredients:

Blend ½ cup frozen blackberries,

½ cup frozen blueberries,

¼ cup cherries (pitted),

½ vanilla Greek yogurt,

½ cup pomegranate juice or cranberry juice.


5. Friday green smoothie

Ingredients:

Blend 2 frozen kiwis (peeled),

1 frozen avocado (peeled),

1 handful of baby spinach,

½ vanilla Greek yogurt,

½ cup almond milk (or orange juice).
