Boy shaves head to support grandpa with cancer & gets bullied—his teacher does this to help

This principal had a great idea to counter bullying against a young boy who shaved his head. Watch the video to find out what extraordinary step the principal took.

Eleven-year-old Jackson Johnston shaved his head to show his cancer-stricken grandfather that he was not alone. But, as a result, the sixth-grader was bullied over his bald head.

To teach the bullies a lesson, the principal of Pekin Middle School in Packwood, Iowa, Tim Hadley, convened a special assembly, and handed Jackson clippers to shave his head. As Jackson got down to work, the students erupted into cheers.

After the assembly, the bullies apologized, and it has “opened up a culture of openness” at the school, Hadley told TODAY.
