We have all heard of or done the chicken dance, but the chicken in this video takes it to another level.
Have you ever seen a chicken move its body but keep its head perfectly still? Apparently it’s quite normal for chickens and many birds. The stable head is related to the eyes and visual surroundings.
In humans, we have vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) to help us stabilize images in the retina, but in chickens, they have the head bobbing when they walk or the steady-cam head as seen in the video.
