As the nation celebrated the festival of lights Diwali, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met up with Indian Army jawans at Gurez Valley in Jammu and Kashmir. When we all celebrate Diwali at home safe and sound, these jawans risk their lives at the border to protect our nation against threats. So to cheer them up, PM Modi made a visit to the Line of Control.
The Prime Minister of India offered sweets and exchanged greetings with the jawans of Indian Army and BSF at Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. In his speech, the Prime Minister revealed that like everyone else, he too wished to spend Diwali with his family, and had visited the jawans whom he considers “his family”.
PM Modi said that he gets new energy when he spends time among jawans & soldiers. He appreciated their penance & sacrifice, amid harsh conditions.
Let’s check out some pictures of this meet by our honourable PM.
