Royal love story: Jyotiraditya Scindia is married to one of the 50 most beautiful women in India!

Fairytales often speak of eloquent love stories of the royals. A charming prince falls in love with a graceful princess. We all have read at least one such tale and no matter how much we might have liked it, things like that just don’t happen in normal life. But Jyotiraditya and Priyadarshini Scindia are not a ‘normal’ couple, so how could their love story be anything less than a fairytale?

Prince Jyotiraditya, son of Madhavrao Scindia, the titular Maharaja of Gwalior, was born in Mumbai. He did his schooling in the city and was sent to the Doon school to study where his father strictly instructed the authorities to treat his child like any other kid. He didn’t want to spoil Jyotiraditya with special treatment.

The first meet was all it took for the prince to fall head over heels in love. He was smitten by Priyadarshini’s charm.  Jyotiraditya found her to be the perfect mix of modern and traditional thinking. They tied the knot in a royal way in 1994. The couple is parents to son Aryaman and daughter Ananya.

However, this lady is not only about the looks. Priyadarshini believes that living in a palace is a full-time job. She has used the power she has to formulate projects for children. She was instrumental in the restoration of many archaeological treasures.

Jyotiradaitya, on the other hand, is focussed on politics. He is a member of parliament representing the Guna district of Madhya Pradesh.
