Doctors tell Brazilian lady to starve son to death—40yrs later, they regret giving that advice

The man in this Body Bizarre video is a pure inspiration as he never looks at things “upside-down” and instead focuses on the brighter side.

Claudio Viera de Oliveira, from Brazil, was born with an upside-down head, severely deformed legs, and paralyzed arms—a rare condition called congenital arthrogryposis. According to Mail Online, doctors had advised his mother, Maria Jose Vieira Martins, to starve him to death due to his health condition; however, she refused and instead allowed him a chance to live.

The disability didn’t stop Claudio from fulfilling his dreams. Despite being born at such a disadvantage, his independent spirit and happy outlook are admirable. Claudio taught himself basic life skills from a young age, eventually graduating as an accountant from the State University of Feira de Santana.

“Since I was a child I’ve always liked to keep myself busy and work—I don’t like to depend totally on other people,” he told Mail Online. “I do a bit of accounting, research for clients and consulting.”

While his mother said: “We never tried to fix him and always wanted him to do the normal things everyone else does. That’s why he is so confident. He is not ashamed of walking around in the street—he sings and he dances.”

Claudio said: “I don’t see things upside-down. This is one of the things I always talk about in my interventions as a public speaker.”
